Bone health, plainly
Bone is living tissue. It is built up until about your late twenties, held steady for a while and then slowly lost. For women the loss speeds up in the years around menopause, and in some women the drop over the first five to seven years is substantial. Men lose bone more gradually. About one in two women and one in four men over 50 will break a bone because of osteoporosis, and the good news is that much of this is preventable.
